Civilitreasures is the first game to feature 20 pay lines. The payouts in this game are a lot higher than in the two previous games -- Farm Fortune and Bubble Rumble. Notice the paytable below - 5 Columbus' pays out 10,000 coins!

There is a scatter symbol on all 5 of the reels. Getting 3 or more scatters awards 5, 15, or 30 Free Spins respectively. You earn the same amount of Free Spins in Bubble Rumble, except if you get all 5, you get 25 in that game and 30 in this game.
Unlike the previous games, The Bonus symbols in Civilitreasures only appear on reels 2, 3, and 4. You have to get all 3 of them on an active pay line to start the bonus game. Trust me, it's very frustrating to finally see all 3 bonuses and then they aren't on a pay line!
The Bonus Game in Civilitreasures is pretty neat. You begin by selecting one of the three historical locations on the map. You are then presented with a room full of items. You pick the items in the room to reveal prize amounts. The Bonus game ends if you find 2 skulls.
Final Thoughts: Civilitreasures is one of those games that I feel has a lot of potential, but it just isn't all there. The theme is cool - can't go wrong with history, and the graphics/sounds are cool. My main complaint is getting the bonus round. Trying to get all 3 bonuses to line up on a payline on only 3 reels can take a really long time. What's even more frustrating is when you finally get a bonus game, and then pick 2 skulls right away and don't even get your bet back. I think if the bonus games came up more frequently, it would be more fun. However, the bonus game does pay really good from time to time - so it can be worth the wait!
